“Making a difference one day, one life at a time.” – Live Each Day With Purpose

Each one of us has a story to be told, which can impact the lives of others for the better. The following quotes and verses are what my speaking, advocacy, ministry/apostolate, website, and blog are all about.

1.) Genesis 50:20 says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

 — This verse is what I have clung to and re-read as I have walked through some very low valleys. This verse has helped me to remember that God has a plan for our lives and that He can and will redeem everything under the sun for our good, the good of others, and ultimately for His glory. I know that what we  go through is not in vain and there is a purpose in our pain and a message that will come from our messes. He is making beauty from ashes and writing our story of redemption! We all go through difficult times. You’re not alone and should not have to walk alone! You story has a purpose and can make a difference!

2.) “You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know.” – William Wilberforce

–William Wilberforce has always been one of my heroes because of how tirelessly he fought for the plights of others. In scripture (Galatians 6:2) it says, “we are to carry each others burdens”. Our society sometimes looks the other way when traumas and tragedies unfold, through my speaking and advocacy I am trying to change that mentality and culture.  The message I want to promote and share is that whoever you are, wherever you are, you are not alone! When I speak and advocate, I do so for you! So that someday there will be changes made to the laws, to better protect you, other victims, and survivors like you!  I want to hear your stories, so please share them with me via my contact information.

3.) “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing. ” – Sir Edmund Burke

–I have always liked this quote and have quoted Sir Edmund Burke for many years now. In this day and age very few realize that by not choosing a side when it comes to some of these issues, that they are indeed still choosing a side! When someone chooses not to support victims and survivors of violence, their silence still speaks volumes. Their silence is the unspoken support in favor of the violent offender and instead of preventing violence and standing up against it, ” evil continues to triumph”, as stated in the quote. So let’s work together to end violence, injustice, and rather promote peace. To show love, instead of hatred. To protect life, instead of taking one. We can all do more to end violence. Each one of us can make this world a safer and better place, by “making a difference one day, one life at a time”!

4.) Jeremiah 29:11 says,  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

–This verse is a great reminder that no matter how difficult life can get or how bleak a situation can seem, that God’s got this. Never lose hope, even while waiting out the storms of life. Trust in Him and hope for the best! God can and will redeem every situation and prosper you! I just love that truth!
